CAMPGROUNDS ACROSS THE CAROLINAS OFFER UNIQUE RENTAL ACCOMMODATIONS, FROM FURNISHED GLAMPING TENTS, TEPEES AND YURTS TO COZY CABINS AND COTTAGES
The Jellystone Park in Bostic, N.C. even has treehouse like cabins while accommodations at Campfire Lodgings in Asheville, N.C. include a 3,000-square foot cliff house with a stone fireplace. Stoney Fork Campground in Ferguson has its own bed and breakfast inn in a 100+ year-old farmhouse.
When people think about camping, tents and RVs immediately come to mind.
But campgrounds, RV parks and resorts across the Carolinas actually offer an enormous variety of rental accommodations.
“You really don’t need a tent, an RV or even a sleeping bag to enjoy a camping experience in the Carolinas, whether you want to camp on a mountaintop, along a lake or on a campsite with a view of the Altantic Ocean,” said Dee Witting, executive director of the Carolinas Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds.
“We have campgrounds that offer everything from RV rentals to furnished glamping tents, tepees, yurts and even treehouse-like structures to cozy cabins and cottages and lodges big enough to sleep 20 people. One campground even has a bed and breakfast inn inside a century-old farmhouse, while others offer beach and bayfront vacation house rentals. The variety of rental accommodations at campgrounds across the Carolinas is truly astounding.”
Here’s a sampling of some of the rental accommodations offered by campgrounds in North and South Carolina:
