American Classic Motorcycle Museum – Visit one of the largest collections of antique and classic Harley Davidson motorcycles in the country. The entire second floor of the museum is dedicated to unique bikes and memorabilia. There are more than 30 bikes dating from 1936 through 1972.
Pisgah Covered Bridge – This historic covered bridge is one of only two left in the state. Visitors can enjoy nature trails, picnic areas, and photographic opportunities.

NC Zoo – Located about 75 miles west of Raleigh, N.C. Zoo is nationally recognized as one of the nation’s finest zoos. It was the first American zoo designed from its inception around the “natural habitat” philosophy.


RagApple Lassie Winery & Vineyards – Located in the shadows of the majestic Pilot Mountain at the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains’ foothills, this unique vineyard has been owned by the same family for three generations. Tastings and tours are offered daily. Wines include cabernet sauvignon, merlot, Rockford Red, chardonnay, and Boonville Blanc.


Greensboro Children’s Museum – Experience this exciting, colorful museum offering hand-on exhibits, and activities for children 10 and under. Learn how to shop in a pint-sized grocery store, practice handling money at the town bank, or even conduct an orchestra in the music room. There are 16 more exhibits and displays, all designed to nurture growing minds.

Wet-N-Wild Emerald Pointe Water Park – The largest water park in the Carolinas features more than 35 rides and attractions. Enjoy one of the four tsunami pools in the country, ride on an interactive water roller coaster, and enjoy the enclosed slides, tube rides, and cable glides.

Holly Ridge Golf Links – Holly Ridge Golf Links is one of the highest rated public courses in the Piedmont region and is a true player’s course that will challenge every aspect of a golfer’s ability. Enjoy the beautifully manicured greens and fairways.


Lake Gaston – Straddling the North Carolina and Virginia border, Lake Gaston is one of the truly outstanding lakes in the country. It holds over 20,000 acres of water, is 34 miles long, and one and a half mile wide. It has over 350 miles of shoreline. Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of water sports.


Horne Creek Living Historical Farm – This early 20th-century farm is North Carolina’s newest historic site and is dedicated to the study, preservation, and interpretation of the state’s rural heritage. Visitors may encounter farm animals or savor the old-fashioned apple varieties grown in the orchard. You can even try cutting grass with a scythe or learn how to cook on a wood stove. Walking tours are available.

Pilot Mountain State Park – Pilot Mountain rises more than 1,400 feet above the Yadkin River Valley and stands as a National Natural Landmark. Horseback ride through the woods, raft or canoe the river, or hike one of the many trails. Enjoy scenic overlooks, the picnic areas, and visitor facilities.


American Music Jubilee Theatre – This new theatre combines a touch of Branson and a variety show atmosphere with musical delights from 50’s rock-n-roll to classic contemporary country and amazing gospel. American Music Jubilee Theatre is a major entertainment destination in the unlikely location of the quaint village of Selma.
