HURRICANE HELENE INFO

We are striving to keep you informed about safe and allowable travel in the Carolinas, as well as the status of our campgrounds, via links to qualified sources. We invite you to follow us on Facebook for these updates, too.

The clean up and repair process from Hurricane Helene is an evolving situation and areas in the Carolinas are in different stages of recovery and accessibility. Take personal responsibility and travel safely if you plan to visit for any reason.

  • Plan ahead by checking road conditions and mapping alternate routes.
  • Have a full tank of gas before going into Hurricane-ravaged areas.
  • Bring groceries and other survival items, if able, as some destinations may be in short supply.

The campgrounds of the Carolinas thank you for your care and support as we build back our beautiful states.

"Recovering from devastation is not a sprint, it's a marathon and we want to help." If you would like to donate essential items toward those in need impacted by Helene, you can drop them off at one of seven Myrtle Beach-area campgrounds listed in the video.

Help is needed.

Your support of independently operated campgrounds is greatly appreciated.

Hurricane Helene hit the southern states hard, and campgrounds experienced unprecedented damage and, in some cases, complete destruction and loss of life.

We are asking for your help in the recovery process.

Will you consider making a donation to the Disaster Relief Fund created by National Association for Advancing Outdoor Hospitality (OHI)?

OHI is the national trade association for campground operators, and grants made possible through your donations help with interim relief, shelter, food, clothing, and more needed by park operators.

With our sincerest gratitude,

Paul Bambei, President and CEO, National Association for Advancing Outdoor Hospitality (OHI)

Dee Witting, Executive Director, Carolinas Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds (CARVC)
