Hytropy Disaster Management

(225) 361-3402

This unique keynote address will provide participants an understanding of the disaster preparedness process in the post-COVID-19 world.  It will also include a basic overview of training necessary for each type of plan, and see the plan executed through a real-life exercise.

Disaster Response

This first hour of the keynote will be an exciting overview of the challenges to the operations of outdoor hospitality in the “new normal”. It will begin with a discussion of Risk Assessments, Threat Assessments, and other preliminary documents necessary in designing and implementing an effective disaster response considering COVID.  It will then cover the basic disaster response itself, and include information on evacuation, shelter-in-place, and lockdowns and what modifications will need to made to disaster plans so their operations are ready to respond to emergencies while still following COVID-19 precautions, including Earthquake Plans, Fire Plans, and Active Shooters.

Disaster Exercise

Workshop leader will lead the group into an engaging and exciting Full-Scale Exercise (FSE) at the site. The exercise will begin with an immediate lockdown in the room, followed by an impromptu evacuation outside where there will be an assembly count of participants. Once the participants return to the room, where they will conduct a short debriefing where they will be asked the two major questions to discover the major lessons learned. It will be a truly memorable keynote!
